Hot temperatures in Northern Ireland
By UBC
In recent years, the "EAA," the Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists, has evolved into the largest and arguably the most significant archaeological conference in Europe. This year, for the first time, the mark of 3,000 participants was exceeded!
The EAA took place in Belfast this year, with the "United by Crisis?" project strongly represented by a total of 4 presentations. The presentations ranged from the introduction of initial project results to our Citizen Science concept, touched on the intersection with the topic of archaeological vocabularies, and introduced a very special anthropological discovery!
There was lively interest in our contributions. Equally pleasing was the good weather (from our perspective) – due to sunshine and temperatures around 28°C a heat warning had been issued on the island!
